3 Scents for Fall

I know not everyone considers perfume to be an essential part of their beauty routine, but for me, what perfume to where is an important decision I make every morning. I think of it as working in conjunction with the rest of my beauty routine - a final touch, an addition to your personal ambiance, and even a way to set your intention for the day. This Fall, I’ll be rotating between the following three fragrances:

D.S. & Durga Mississippi Medicine

I’ve been wearing this scent every Fall for almost five years now, which is probably the closest I’ve ever gotten to a signature scent. It’s everything I want in a Fall perfume - a little spicy, a little earthy, and super warm. It’s main notes are birch tar, viola, white spruce, and incense, and while it’s a fairly masculine scent, I think it’s the perfect way to warm up your day or spice up your look.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana White

If you’re looking for something a little more feminine smelling, I’d highly recommend Nirvana White. It is very floral, with notes of peony and lily of the valley grounded by the addition of musk. It’s the musk specifically that makes this a Fall scent for me. As light and powdery as this perfume is, the musk gives it the depth and warmth I always look for in the Fall.

Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt

The cleanest scent of the bunch, this is honestly the perfume I go for when I’m missing the beach days of summer. It is beyond fresh - the sea salt really triggers memories of the ocean, and the wood sage is just earthy enough to balance that breath of fresh air. I’d describe the overall effect as being happy and light, but not as stereotypically beachy as some other similar scents.

What perfumes do you go for this season? Let me know in the comments!
