Brand Overview: Farmacy Beauty

With the Sephora spring sale nearly upon us, I figured it was the perfect time to talk about a few products from one of my all-time favorite skin care brands, Farmacy, in case any of you VIB’s were curious about picking up a few of their bestsellers. During one of my nightly lurk sessions through the Sephora website, I stumbled upon a Farmacy sampler set, adorably named The Mighties Kit, which conveniently includes the exact four products I’ve tried from the brand. And with that striking coincidence, here’s a quick rundown of each to help you decide whether or not to take the plunge and try some of these bestselling products:

If you’re like me and wear makeup almost every single day of the year, you need this product. For so long I would struggle to remove my stubborn waterproof mascara with various soaps and harsh cleansers, but now scrubbing away my makeup has become a thing of the past. This balm just wipes everything away and removes every single trace of dirt, foundation, and yes, even that pesky mascara while still being gentle on my skin. It’s like magic.

If you’re an oily-skinned girl like me, you should definitely try this moisturizer. Just like the title claims, this is very lightweight, but for someone who’s face becomes greasy throughout the day after applying anything even resembling a heavy cream in the mornings, it is perfection. I particularly enjoy the feeling that I am sealing in the rest of my other skincare products after using this moisturizer. Another winner in my book.

$48 USD

While this is a solid product, I do have to say that this is the weakest of the bunch for me. With that being said, it’s not so much the actual product itself, but the description of the product on the Sephora website that alludes me. It is advertised as a lightweight balm for people of all skin-types and that’s where I take issue with this super heavy-duty moisturizer. With a Vaseline-like consistency, this product is thick and never fully sinks into the skin, which might partially be explained by the fact that I am oily already. My skin doesn’t particularly need this type of moisturizer at night, but for those of you who are dry and prefer to slather on a thick balm before going to sleep, I’d say this is certainly for you.

There’s something so fun about this mask and I don’t use that word too often when describing my skincare products, but it just fits. Once this yellow, sticky mask is applied to the skin, it begins to warm up and turn white as you massage it onto your face. How fun is that? More than just being a joy to apply, this mask is so unbelievably soothing and makes me feel like I’m at a luxurious spa every time I use it. What’s more, I always wake up with my skin looking more moisturized, rejuvenated, and glowing if I’ve used this mask the night before. Another stunning triumph for Farmacy!
