Kiara's Favorites: July 2017
Happy August, readers! July flew by and was filled with lots of new products and subsequently, favorites. There are so many new things that I've been obsessed with and I want to share them with you all.
$87 CAD/$67 USD
First and foremost, I've been obsessed with the GrandeLash MD serum. This is an eyelash growth serum that I've been using nonstop for the past couple of weeks and I can't stop gushing about how long my lashes have grown. I apply it every morning and night and within a week I noticed a difference in my lashes. My lash line is fuller and my lashes are noticeably longer and I can't wait to see what they'll look like with continued use. I'll be sure to keep you all updated.
CLARISONIC MIA 2 + RADIANCE BRUSH HEAD
$169 USD/$219 CAD
I've been wanting to get my hands on this iconic facial cleansing brush for years now and I finally got a hold of this last month. I was worried this would be too harsh for my skin as I'm not someone who wears makeup very often, but when I do, I find this really does the job at ensuring my skin is clean. I don't use this every day and try to keep this for when I feel my skin needs a deeper clean. I use this about once a week.
TATCHA LUMINOUS DEWY SKIN MIST
$48 USD/$58 CAD
I know every beauty blogger has raved about this mist and at first, I wasn't expecting to love this as much as I do. I didn't think that a mist could have any major impact on my skin, but as its name suggests, this really does give you luminous, dewy skin. Over makeup or over bare skin, this gives your face a really glowy finish.
CLE DE PEAU CREAM BLUSH
$60 USD/$75 CAD
I wrote about how much I love this blush already in my Blush Edit (read here), but this definitely deserves a spot in my favorites this month. This gives the most natural flush that is almost imperceptible...but here me out - it's perfect. It does exactly what blush is supposed to do, and gives me a healthy glow that doesn't look overdone.
MARC JACOBS RE(MARC)ABLE CREAM CONCEALER
$38 CAD/$32 USD
I've been on the hunt for a new full coverage concealer and this one from Marc Jacobs recently showed up at the Pur Opulence HQ. It's definitely full coverage and covers dark circles really well. A little of this goes a long way and just a dab will cover your entire under-eye area.
DRUNK ELEPHANT SUKARI BABYFACIAL
$80 USD (NOT AVAILABLE IN CANADA)
I will be making another post on my favorite face masks, but this one is definitely a new favorite this month. You leave this on for 20 minutes and follow up with Drunk Elephant's Marula Oil. It's called the Babyfacial for a reason and it delivers on its promise to give you baby-smooth skin.
TATCHA GOLD SPUN LIP BALM
$30 USD/$36 CAD
This next pick is a new favorite that I didn't know I needed until I started using it. It goes on as a normal balm, but softens like no other. It doesn't leave a waxy finish and when I put this on before bed, I wake up with incredibly smooth and soft lips and doesn't have a weird residue. I also adore this as a base for liquid lips because it doesn't affect the way they apply.
FARMACY BEAUTY GREEN CLEAN CLEANSING BALM
$44 CAD/$34 USD
I've been really into double cleansing with oil lately, but I'm obsessed with using this balm on the days when I wear makeup. It melts everything away as an oil and then lathers so nicely to the point where I don't feel like I need a second cleanser.
NEST FRAGRANCES CITRINE EAU DE PARFUM
$98 CAD/$72 USD
I'm trying to become more of a fragrance person and I've been searching frantically for a signature fragrance. I'm obsessed with anything citrus and am typically not a big fan of floral, but this fragrance manages to blend a crisp Lemon Blossom with floral notes of Lotus Flower and Freesia in the most beautiful way and I do not leave the house without this on. It's not too perfume-y so I don't need to be going anywhere fancy to wear this. Obsessed.
