Michelle's Luxury Wishlist
Hi my name is Michelle and I’m addicted to luxury beauty. Whether it’s the sleek packaging or the amazing quality, luxury cosmetics are such an easy sell for me. From Charlotte Tilbury to Tatcha, any time there’s a new launch it’s on my radar and in my shopping cart. Unfortunately, my sad student budget limits my ability to spend hundreds of dollars on face masks and concealer, so I have a pretty lengthy wish list. Here are the gems that have currently have my heart.
$35 - $49 USD
I am a huge fan of Dior foundations, so when I saw that they were releasing a new full coverage formula I couldn’t help but add it to my list. The entire Backstage Collection itself looks pretty interesting, with multiple palettes for eyes, lips, contour, highlight, and brows, but I’m definitely most excited about the Backstage Face and Body Foundation. The fact that it can also be used on the body is super interesting and I really want to see what that’s all about. So far I’ve heard mixed reviews but foundation is the kind of product with different results for everyone, so I guess I’ll have to try it myself and see what it’s like.
Natasha Denona is by far one of the most luxurious makeup brands out there, and its literally my dream to own her palettes. I have been lusting after the Sculpt and Glow palette since it first launched for so many reasons. The packaging is absolutely stunning and in my opinion should be considered art. I swatched the shades at Sephora and the quality is incredible. I love that there’s a mix of creams and powders so you can really customize the finish you want too. I have no doubt in my mind that with these gorgeous powders and creams I could achieve my Bella Hadid cheekbone dreams.
I want all things Tatcha, but the number one on my list has to be this cream. The Luminous Dewy Skin Night Concentrate sounds like a dream for my skin. A friend of mine uses it and always talks about how it has completely changed the texture of her skin. I’m not sure if I should splurge on this product just yet because my skincare focus is more on acne and less on anti-aging, but I can definitely see myself buying this (and being addicted to it) in the near future. Plus, I love any opportunity to collect a cute new tiny Tatcha spoon so why not!
I’m a firm believer in the fact that you don’t have to spend tons of money for quality lipstick BUT for Charlotte Tilbury I’ll splurge. From the packaging to the shades, the Matte Revolution Lipsticks have been on my mind for years and I will never get over them. I love the stunning signature rose gold aesthetic of Charlotte Tilbury products, and the variety of colours and undertones available is insane. Some of the shades on my list are Pillow Talk (of course), Walk of Shame, Shanghai Nights, and Legendary Queen.
I have really bad texture and little bumps all over my skin, and people have always raved about how amazing this is for smoothing out your skin. I really want to buy it after loving how my skin looked and felt after using some samples, but I’m just worried that it may be a bit too intense for my sensitive skin. Every time I get a sample the Sephora Employees start lecturing me about how important it is to wear SPF after using this (which I of course do) and that this product is no joke. At the same time every time I’ve used it I’ve had no issues so hopefully everything will be fine!
