Mask for Every Occasion
A Mask for Any Occasion
Masking is probably the part of my routine I most look forward to. I try to sheet mask every other day but my first addiction was the world of wash off masks. It’s a big world to navigate, meet a few I enjoy using. This was a hard one to narrow down, I have more masks than I’m willing to admit!
Farmacy Honey Potion
Everyone loves to glow on a night out, am I right? The best base for makeup is smooth, moisturized skin. This combo of honey, royal jelly, propolis and echinacea hydrates and plumps up my skin to the max. As you massage this thick, luxurious mask onto your face it turns white and warms up with the most glorious sensation. It’s such a treat and feels so spa like. I’ve gone through multiple jars of this, that’s how good it’s been for me.
Drunk Elephant TLC Sukari Babyfacial
I rave about this mask a lot on my Instagram page for a good reason! I’m oily and acne prone so sadly I have texture issues from time to time. Babyfacial is a 25% AHA 2% BHA treatment with a blend of glycolic, lactic, tartaric, citric and salicylic acids to gently resurface the skin without irritation. There are also antioxidants, niacinamide, pumpkin enzymes and pumpkin ferment to replenish moisture, brighten and tone the skin. The results the following day are even more apparent than the first. Goodbye, uneven texture and closed comedones!
Herbivore Botanicals Blue Tansy AHA + BHA Resurfacing Clarity Mask
This gel mask contains natural BHAs, AHAs, aloe leaf and the star blue tansy oil. I love this when my skin is acting up, it gets rid of redness and speeds up irritation healing time. I first tried this as part of the True Blue Skin Clarifying Duo Gift set and that mini has lasted forever!
Chuck & Sam The Green Monstah Detoxifying Mask
My first powder mask did not disappoint me! This detoxifying clay mask has Indian neem leaf to fight acne with its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties coupled with the high antioxidant content of matcha tea to increase skin elasticity. I’ve tried mixing it with water and toners and the results are great other way and my blemishes disappear fast! Even though I have oily skin I love following this up with their Just Like Honey mask, the two work really well together. The Green Monstah even comes with a bamboo scoop and mixing jar to make usage easy.
Farmacy Bright On Vitamin C Mask
This gem is an aloe-based clay packed with Vitamin C and fruit-derived AHAs that leaves me glowing without drying out my skin. Straight out the tube it’s a lilac colour and turns to a minty green as you massage it into the skin. Not only is it fun to use, itleaves my skin glowing, smooth and soft! It’s so smooth it doesn’t feel like a clay mask at all but no worries it rinses clean to reveal bright skin underneath. The brightening results also last into the next day with this and I could not be more pleased with it.
Laneige Water Sleeping Mask
I’ve tried a few sleeping masks and my first one by Laneige is still my favourite. It’s a lightweight gel with beta glucan, evening primrose, natural moisturizing factors, ascorbylglucoside and it provides an 8 hour time release of moisture. It never feels heavy on my skin and the faint scent is so relaxing before I go to bed. The following morning my skin is plump, bouncy and hydrated. Never giving this one up,
