5 Essentials for Oily Hair
I have really oily hair and since I was in middle school, I have been washing my hair on a daily basis. My hair strands are thick, but I have a lot of hair, and it’s a but shorter than hip length, so washing it every day is a chore. While I haven’t found too many things that keep my hair 100% clean into Day 2, I have found some products that help my hair look cleaner longer.
Bumble and Bumble Sunday Shampoo
$26 USD/$30 CAD
This is where I start. I’ve been using this once a week to give my hair a good detox, and honestly, my hair feels so much nicer. My scalp is cleaner than it ever has been…this stuff is powerful, so I recommend only using it once a week so you don’t dry out your hair.
After that deep cleanse, I like to follow up with a hair mask on my ends, and this has been my go-to for almost a year. It’s really hydrating, smells incredible, and it is super affordable.
Dry shampoo is a must to keep my hair looking clean, this one from Batiste has saved me on several occasions. I like the original scent because it is very faint and fades quickly, meaning it won’t interfere with your regular perfume/scent.
As a mid-week touch up, I like to use this scrub to make sure I keep the oils at bay. It has a beautiful clean scent, and the shower experience is amazing. I love the big salt crystals that really scrub the scalp and ensure that it stays clean!
Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil
Finally, I like to use a hair oil on the very ends of my hair to make sure all the cleansing doesn’t make my ends look dry or dull. This one from Gisou, made by influencer Negin Mirsalehi with honey from her family’s farm in the Netherlands, is beautiful and smells incredible! It leaves your hair soft, shiny, and Instagram-worthy!
