A Night In With Omorovicza
The following post kicks off our "A Night In With..." series, which focuses on self-care based night routine, and peers into the respective cultures of esteemed brands to gain insight on how best to use beauty as a means of self-care.
When I first founded Pur Opulence, I was constantly bombarded by the same question. "What is opulence?" The dictionary defines opulence as a state of luxury and magnificence. For me, opulence is a driving source of aspiration when it comes to how I want to live my life and run my business. It's not about money, but about living a lifestyle that is constantly working toward greatness. I personally don't subscribe to the idea that skincare needs to cost a lot, but occasionally, there are brands that truly stand for opulence and all its definitions. Omorovicza happens to be one of those brands. Built from top to bottom with the finest ingredients in Hungarian nature, the brand's offerings are undeniably luxurious. As the great Canadian Winter approaches at an alarming rate, I've turned to Omorovicza not only to take care of my skin, but to help me slow my night rituals down and indulge in an opulent routine that makes me feel like a Queen. Keep reading to find out how I spend a night in with the best beauty brand fresh out of Hungary.
My nights often start at 9PM, when I get home after a long day at the office. Anyone living in a big city can attest to the grime you can physically feel on you when you get home from a long day at work. After washing my hands (seriously, do this as soon as you get home), I switch out of my office clothes and into my favorite Silk on White Set from indie lingerie brand, Brook There. It features white silk details on organic cotton and adds to the overall feeling of luxury I try to curate in my night routine. Once I'm comfortable, I light a candle (currently: Diptyque Vanille) to set the mood mood and get ready to start my skincare routine.
Though I don't wear makeup on a daily basis, I've become a fan of cleansing balms as my preferred method for facial cleansing. The Thermal Cleansing Balm is a black balm to oil consistency that works to get deep in your pores and clear them out, while moisturizing the skin. I massage a dollop onto dry skin, taking care to give myself a good rub and lymphatic drainage massage as I cleanse. I used to love cleansers that made my face feel squeaky clean and covered my face in thick foam and lather. The Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm doesn't lather, but with the help of my Cleansing Mitt, makes me feel cleansed but not stripped, and baby soft.
After cleansing, I pat my face dry with a clean facial towel, and give myself a generous misting of the Queen of Hungary Mist. The hydrating mist preps my skin for my Rose Lifting Serum, which smooths and rejuvenates the skin with the help of ingredients that relax the muscles of the face to prevent fine lines and wrinkles caused by facial tension. I top that off with another zealous spritz of the Queen of Hungary mist, blow out my candle, and head to bed.
