The Perfect Travel Bag
The Holidays, while the best time of the year, can be stressful at times. So why not bring simplicity to your travel makeup bag? Everyone needs the perfect products that are both holiday worthy and easy to use.
The first step for any makeup look is always moisturized skin. Glossier’s Priming Moisturizer is a 2-in-1-- moisturizer and primer. It’s perfect for all skin types and saves time and space in your makeup bag.
A cushion foundation is the way to go to when traveling. They are compact and and have buildable coverage for your needs. I’d recommend the Laneige BB Cushion Hydra Radiance Foundation, it has a light formula and delivers a radiant complexion. Pair a cushion foundation with the NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer. I recommend this concealer to everyone because it’s amazing! It has great coverage, tons of shades, and doesn’t crease . I haven’t found any cons about this concealer. There’s no need for brushes or sponges with this concealer either. The warmth from your fingers blend the concealer seamlessly.
Personally I love dewy, natural skin, so I stay away from powder. The NARS concealer doesn’t need setting since it sets matte. While traveling I don’t want to pack 10 different brushes so I stick to cream products. Cloud Paint by Glossier is the most natural cream blush I have found. I blend it back to my temples with my fingers and use the excess on my lids. This gives the look of a defined eye without having to use pressed shadow and different brushes. For a simple look I tend to skip bronzer and contour, but if you can’t go without it I love the Fenty Beauty Match Stix Matte Skinstick in Amber. It has the perfect cool undertone that gives a natural contour to the cheeks. Warm up the product with your fingers before applying for a seamless blend. When applying contour and blush start applying them 2 fingers width from your nose. This will instantly lift your cheekbones and keep the products from looking muddy. Highlight is my favorite part of any makeup look. Sticking with the cream theme I love the Enhance Click Highlighter from Cover FX. You can apply the stick directly to the highlight bone and blend with your fingers. No brush needed.
Eyebrows and eyelashes. I simply curl my lashes and leave them bare. If your lashes aren’t naturally long you can use your trusty mascara. For eyebrows I use the Glossier Boy Brow. This product adds volume and color to your brows while setting them so they don't move throughout the day.
To finish off the look I like to use the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer. This product works for everybody and does wonder for the lips. The best part about it is the fact that it goes with every makeup look-- from no makeup to full glam.
With these products and tips your makeup bag will be filled with everything you need during the holiday season.
