Curly Hair Fave: Kevin.Murphy Re.Store
When it comes to hair masks, I can be a pretty tough judge. My hair is both massively curly and quite thin, and is often subjected to heat styling. That means I need a hair mask that is going to do some serious damage repair and hydrating without weighing down my hair or making it look greasy. Surprisingly, it has been tough to find a mask that fits the bill and is good enough to keep me using it regularly.
Enter Kevin Murphy Re.store. It’s actually not billed as a mask, but as a co-wash to be used instead of shampoo and conditioner once a week. Easy enough, right? It’s both sulfate and paraben free, and it’s packed with superfood proteins to help restore and strengthen your hair. Now, so far this probably sounds like every other hair mask out there, but the major difference here is that this actually lives up to every one of its promises.
My hair has been subjected to sun and both pool and sea water all summer long, and, full disclosure, I haven’t had a haircut in almost a year. Safe to say my hair has been looking a bit fried lately. One wash with Re.store and I have ridiculously soft, healthy looking hair. No leaving anything in my hair overnight, no walking around in a shower cap for an hour, and no lackluster results. Is the price tag pretty hefty? Yes. But only using it once a week or every other week means the bottle will last you quite a while. As far as I’m concerned, this is a holy grail hair product.
