Spring Fragrance Edit

As we transition into yet another season I’m already thinking about my spring fragrance edit. Don’t get me wrong I’ll wear a fragrance anytime if it pleases me, but around this time of year I lean towards lighter, more fresh scents that don’t feel heavy or overwhelming.

BYREDO BLANCHE Eau de Parfum

$150 USD / $220 CAD

First up on my list is Blanche from cult favorite brand, Byredo. Blanche was the initial scent from the collection that peaked my interest. It also just so happens to be the fragrance founder Ben Gorham personally created for his wife that was to be reminiscent of the color white. It’s the most gorgeous and fresh everyday perfume that has a bright crisp opening with top notes of aldehyde, pink pepper and violet. After the dry down the scent transitions to a slightly warmer, muskier aroma with the inclusion of blonde woods and sandalwood. What I love most about this fragrance is how it manages to stay fresh and incredibly light while lingering throughout the day.

C.O. BIGELOW MUSK PERFUME OIL

$15 USD

One of my most worn fragrances as of late is the Musk Perfume Oil from C.O. Bigelow. It comes in a petite glass bottle with wand applicator and has a soft yet powerful musky fragrance that I find incredibly warm, sweet and inviting. It’s one of those “smells like my skin but better” fragrances and has a lovely way of blending with your natural chemistry. Alone it works quite well as an understated option for those who aren’t looking for a bold, overpowering scent. Or it layers beautifully to enhance other fragrances and create a customized scent.Plus, at this price it’s a worthy product for everyone’s collection.

LUMIRA TUSCAN FIG PERFUME OIL

$50 USD

In my opinion one can never have enough Fig based fragrances, but right about now I’m reaching for Lumira’s Tuscan Fig Perfume Oil the most. It has a silky consistency that absorbs easily, and the perfume is nicely concentrated, so you only need a few passes of the rollerball for a truly long-lasting scent. This perfume oil also has a very green, milky version of fig that is grounded in earthy notes of patchouli. There is also a hint of sweetness from the notes of musk and blackcurrant. A major plus is the compact size so it’s easy to travel with and apply on the go.
