Summer Scented Products

Perhaps because of the constant sweating in summer, I become even more obsessed with scented products than normal during this season. Summer scents, like any other I think, are of course super personal. Because I like to change up what I’m using based on my mood, I’ve ended up collecting products with a fairly wide variety of scents that remind me of summer. We’re not just talking perfumes either. Here are my absolute favorites:

Curie Bella Flor Eau du Parfum

$85 USD

Inspired by the Yucatan Peninsula, this perfume sports notes of jasmine, lime, rose, sea salt, and smoke. It manages to be the perfect combination of beachy, green, and floral, and the smoke adds a perfect amount of depth. The real bonus though, is that you can also buy it in the form of body wash, lotion, and hand soap - for those of you who like to keep it coordinated.

HERBIVORE BOTANICALS JASMINE BODY OIL.png

Herbivore Botanicals Jasmine Body Oil

$44 USD

Jasmine will forever remind me of hot summer nights in Key West (aka living the dream). This oil is light but hydrating without staying tacky. Best applied right out of the shower, it blends beautifully with other scents and fades out nicely on its own. A one note fragrance doesn’t have to be boring!

Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream

$45 USD

I’ll be honest, half the time I find the vanilla and pistachio scent of this lotion sickeningly sweet, and other times I can’t get enough of it. If you love gourmand scents, or just generally want to smell edible, I’d definitely recommend trying this out. It’s perfect for hot nights out when you want your skin to glow, or even just making sure your skin is hydrated before you head to the beach.

Commodity Tonka Bath Bar

$24 USD

Whether this smells summer-y might be debatable, but the notes of magnolia, sandalwood, almond, and tonka strike me as a particularly lush and delicious summer scent. The bar itself is a super hydrating and luxurious way to get clean. A little pro tip: pack it in with your clothes when you’re traveling and they will smell ridiculously good when you pull them out.

TOM FORD MANDARINO DI AMALFI ACQUA.png

Tom Ford Mandarino di Amalfi Acqua

$125 USD

I pull out this perfume whenever I want to feel like I’m strolling somewhere along the Mediterranean coast. I’m not typically a fan of citrus scents, but the lemon and mandarin combined with herby notes of thyme, basil, spearmint, and even a bit of black pepper, make this perfume utterly delightful. It’s refreshing, warm, serene - basically everything a summer evening should be.
