Skincare for Travel

The holiday season can bring a lot of travel. Unfortunately, that means it can bring a lot of irritated skin. Whether you’re taking a plane, train, or car, you’ll likely come into contact with dry or just generally unfavorable conditions. Luckily there are awesome products out there to help keep your skin happy while you’re on the go. Here are my recommendations:

If your skin tends to breakout after traveling, there are two products I’d suggest. The first is Crude’s Bloom Serum, which is a healing serum featuring six organic oils that help to fight both acne and scarring. It’s a super light oil that absorbs quickly into the skin. The second product is Sunday Riley Good Genes. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but this lactic acid treatment gently exfoliates and will help keep your pore from clogging while you’re en route to your destination. Plus it creates a great base if you’ll be wearing makeup on the go.

If your skin tends to get super dry while traveling, I’d recommend both a super hydrating moisturizer and a great face mist to refresh your face throughout your travel. My favorite lightweight, but super hydrating moisturizer is the Dr. Roebuck’s FACE Moisturizer. It’s designed to hydrate and soothe sensitive skin and can easily be layered if you feel like you need extra hydration. For a solid face mist, there are a ton of amazing ones out there, but not all of them come in travel-friendly sizes. My all-time favorite travel size mist is the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. Not only is it a more affordable way to try out this pricy mist, it’s also going to keep your skin hydrated and glowing even if you’re getting on a ten hour flight.

If your skin tends to get dull and just look a bit blah after traveling, I’d recommend trying a product that features Vitamin C. It will brighten the skin and keep you looking more radiant. Just make sure you wear a sunscreen with it! My current favorite Vitamin C serum is the Red Earth Beauty Brighten Concentrate Oil, which is packed with both Vitamin C and Vitamin A.

Happy holidays and safe travels!
